CHRISTY GORDON

Christy is a Project Manager/Interior Designer at Furniture Marketing Group inOklahoma City. She came to love the game of soccer through her husband Brian and two sons, Austin (now 28) and Gavin (now 26). Christy started the OEFC Players Endowment Fund in 2024 out of a desire to give back. After witnessing what OEFC provided for her own two sons, she knew this was the place to start. OEFC provided them confidence, athleticism, lasting friendships, and a love of soccer. When not working, Christy loves yoga, traveling, all things outdoors, and especially her 3 dogs and 2 cats.

BRIAN GORDON

Brian Gordon has been with AT&T for 21 years and is currently a Regional
Technical Sales Director there. He has also been the OEFC Administrator for
the past 17 years and has been dedicated to the club from day one, where
his two sons, Austin and Gavin, began their soccer careers on the NOKC
fields.
Brian values the relationships he’s made at OEFC over the years and is
committed to strengthening and growing the club for Oklahoma, to provide
the best youth soccer experience possible

Chris Childress began his career with BOK Financial in 2014.   Since 2023, he has served in the role of SVP, Market Manager for Private Banking in Oklahoma City.  Previously he served as SVP, Business Banking Sales Manager for 3 years and for 6 years as the SVP, Regional Sales Manager for the Consumer Division.   His prior banking experience includes 13 years with Commercial Federal Bank and Bank of the West where he held several positions including Regional and Area Manager.  

Chris has been recognized on multiple occasions for his outstanding performance. He has also served as a board member for Junior Achievement OKC and The National Sports Center for the Disabled.

Chris lives in Oklahoma City with his wife Linda.  They have a 11 year-old son, Garrett and 7 year-old daughter, Perry. When not working, Chris enjoys attending sporting events, running and spending time with his family.  

NATALIE BRUNO

Natalie Bruno is a dynamic force in the Oklahoma City community, dedicated to enriching the
lives of children through sports and advocacy. As a mother of two sons deeply involved in
competitive soccer, Natalie’s passion for the sport extends beyond the sidelines.
With over eight years of experience coaching grassroots soccer, Natalie has been instrumental in
shaping the next generation of athletes. Currently serving as a soccer coach for Classen SAS
Middle School in the OKC PALS program, she brings expertise, enthusiasm, and a nurturing
spirit to her role.

JO PHELPS

Jo Phelps is a dynamic professional with a rich background spanning multiple fields. Having spent 11 years in Oklahoma, she brings a unique blend of Midwestern values and diverse experiences to her work. Jo grew up in the Midwest and honed her competitive spirit playing collegiate soccer, where she excelled both on and off the field.
Her passion for organization and creativity led her to a successful career as an event planner and coordinator. Jo also dedicated time to coaching middle school and competitive soccer, sharing her love for the game with younger generations.
Currently, Jo works in marketing, leveraging her Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing to drive impactful campaigns and strategies. She is married and the proud mother of teenage, boy, girl twins, balancing her professional achievements with a fulfilling family life.

ALEXIS VIZARELIS

ENDOWMENT Committee advisor

GET TO KNOW ALEXIS

Prior to joining Energy FC in 2018, Vizarelis served as goalkeepers coach for the University of Oklahoma women’s soccer team, where he helped lead the team to a program-record 14 wins and its first-ever win in the NCAA Championship.
Vizarelis also worked as an assistant coach of the men’s and women’s teams at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) for 14 seasons, where he helped win 10 Sooner Athletic Conference titles and nine trips to the NAIA National Championships.
As a player, Vizarelis is one of the most decorated goalkeepers in USAO’s history, where he notched 21 clean sheets and was inducted into the Drover’s Hall of Fame in 2006.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS THE ENDOWMENT FUND?

A fund, managed by the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, to support OEFC players that wouldn’t otherwise be able to play.

WHAT DOES THE COST COVER?

The cost will cover registration fees, uniforms, team fees, and other expenses associated with playing on a team, as funds become available.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Eligibility will be on a need basis. The Endowment Committee will select recipients each year.

ENDOWMENT FUND VS. COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

Endowment Fund will be a guaranteed source of funds with a potential match from the Kirkpatrick Family Fund each year of up to $15,000, that will continue to grow and be available as long as OEFC exists.
